Imagine if you could eat with the work of your favourite artist in its own exhibition space. Offering to open a gallery outside of its visiting hours, CENARIUM creates a dining environment to experience the craft of tableware.

Goal

With the augmentation of the consumption of tableware, the decline of dining out at restaurant and the decline of social activity and social place, create a service-system that targets object overconsumption, individualisation and social behaviour and scarcity of social place.

Solution

CENARIUM is a system and service that transforms a craft or tableware gallery into a private dining space after visiting hours. Taking place under a tableware exhibition in an art gallery with a kitchen, it allows guests to rent the space for dinner parties, with the setup seamlessly resetting for the next day’s visitors.
